Let me introduce to you Wildflower Dance Company. This company has been in the making for a couple of years, and now Wildflower Dance is finally establishing a company. Our professional development class focuses on building future performing artists. The class will focus on the following.

Arts management

Eisteddfods

End-of-year Production

Film production

Live Production throughout the year.

Workshops

Our students must attend a ballet and composition/ contemporary lesson before their Professional Development lesson. Attending these classes allows a greater understanding of their dance education.

Sweet Pea & Poppyseed Dancers

Sweet Pea & Poppyseed classes encourage creativity and imagination for each little ballerina, tapper and jazz dancer. They are designed to build confidence, motor skills, and musicality in a safe and nurturing environment. All students will have the chance to learn the correct ballet and tap terminology through play, dance and storytelling. Several props are used to introduce the methodology of classical ballet and tap, such as wands, ribbons, and scarves. Giving your child the opportunity to attend our Poppyseed classes will be the highlight of their week, along with making new friends and discovering the magic of dance.

Maximum of students _ ten students, each lesson.

Tap

When your child is learning tap they will be affiliated with the set syllabus of Glenn Wood Tap. This syllabus is recognised across Australia, it's a fantastic approach for your child to have a clearer understanding of rhythm and melody. It's also a wonderful way to make music with your feet.

Private

Students will have the opportunity to attend private lessons. The private lessons aim to introduce and sustain the quality of movement to students, giving them undivided attention throughout the lesson. Private lessons can be the focus on many facets, such as HSC composition, performance pieces, exam work and simply building on self-confidence and pure enjoyment.

Ballet

When your child is learning classical ballet, they'll be affiliated with the set syllabus of the British Ballet Organisation. The organisation is recognised across Australia and internationally, and there is the option of having your child participate in exams. It's a wonderful experience for your child as they can progress through the grades and complete their advanced exams. When your child learns ballet, they will not only be taught movement but will develop their musicality and understanding of the anatomy and obtain discipline in their craft.

Lyrical & Contemporary

The lyrical dance originates from the foundations of classical ballet. Lyrical students will learn the foundations of space, time, energy and pathways. They will be taught fluidity of movement through set choreography.

Contemporary dance embraces movement as an art form. Students will discover a vast vocabulary of movement through experimentation and improvisation. This will be introduced the importance of core stability, fall and recovery, controlled transitioning of movement and contact improvisation.

Jazz

There is no set syllabus for this style. Jazz is an upbeat class. Children will learn many skills and combinations, such as kicks, leaps, pirouettes and many more. This style is highly recommended if your child likes to bop around the house.
